Mpro meets MUD. Cold, Muddy and a Proper Test Day in Toolangi
The old PX3 still handles the muddy stuff like a CHAMP. No photographers were harmed in taking this photo!
Some of the best test days are the ones that start cold, wet, and muddy.

That was exactly the case when we headed into Toolangi with our old PX3, fitted out and ready to cop a proper workout. Running a Hammer 4x4 bullbar and side steps, an Outback Armour 3 inch lift, and finished off with our Premium Tray and 1200mm Mpro Canopy, it was the perfect setup for a day of mud, ruts, and bog holes.

Toolangi turned it on. The tracks were slippery, the holes were deep, and the kind of mud that finds its way into everything was everywhere. We were keen to see how the setup handled a real day out, not just how it looked parked up.

That is where this combo makes a lot of sense.

The Premium Tray gives you the strength and practicality you want in a workhorse, while the Mpro Canopy adds smart storage and a clean, functional setup that works just as well for weekends away. It is a tidy package, but more importantly, it is one that is built to be used.

Even with the muddy conditions and constant stop-start driving through rough sections, the setup felt right at home. Gear stayed secure, the canopy stayed practical, and the whole vehicle still felt ready for whatever track came next.

We also took the chance to set up the Motop Mizar 1.3 Soft Shell Roof Top Tent for some cold weather testing. With the temperature down and the ground wet, it was a good reminder that a solid touring setup is not just about what gets you there, but how comfortably you can pull up and settle in once the day is done.

That is what we like about this kind of build. It covers both sides of the lifestyle. It is tough enough to deal with the work, the mud, and the harder tracks, but still comfortable and practical when it is time to camp.

Toolangi gave this setup a proper test, and it passed the way good gear should. Dirty, wet, and used exactly as intended.
