Tell us about yourself, how did MadMatt come about?

MadMatt 4wd all started nearly 10 years ago really out of frustration. I would see people posting 4wd videos showing how little they actually knew about what they were doing when out 4wding and often wrecking the tracks and their vehicle in the process. So some friends and I decided to be part of the solution and started to create 4wd educational tips and tricks videos to help people learn better 4wding techniques. Now we have a global influence and get to be part of some fantastic 4wd adventures.

What is your number one tip for a 4x4 newbie? 

Get quality tyres and when off road consider letting the air pressures down to around 15-18 psi to help establish better traction and ride of the vehicle as well.

What are some of your favorite places to head out to in Winter?

I love mountains, so for me, it's hard to beat sitting around a campfire in the Victorian high country. We've just got home from a central Australia filming trip which was fantastic as well. So maybe any place is my favorite in winter.

What are you most looking forward to talking about Garage Talks?

I'm going to be the MC on this stage at the show, which the place to get the low-down on key essentials for 4WDriving including trip preparation, towing, safety, terrain, electronics, tires and more.

What or who are you most excited to seeing at the Sydney show?

One of the things I'm really looking forward to is seeing the new Ineos Grenadier in the flesh.
