The 46,000 hectare Finke Gorge National Park lies approximately 120km south-west of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. This tour includes the impressive Gosse Bluff, Palm Valley, the last remnant of central Australia’s tropical past, and Hermannsburg, the birth place and home of Albert Namatjira. Then it is down the Finke River 4WD track which provides a challenging 4WD experience following a section of the Finke River bed. On the way back into Alice Springs, we will stop at several stunning permanent waterholes set amongst river red gums, white sand and green grass.
