A statement from the organisers of the National 4x4 Outdoors Show, Fishing & Boating Expo.

 

As of 13 March, 2020

In following the advice issued by the Australian Government this afternoon, Friday 13th March, the National 4x4 Outdoors Show, Fishing & Boating Expo has been postponed and will not proceed on the scheduled dates 21- 23 Melbourne, 2020 at the Melbourne Showgrounds.
 
Effective immediately, ticket sales are now suspended and we are carefully working through the next steps to determine potential new dates for our Event.
 
Our first priority is the safety of everyone including attendees, exhibitors, our personnel and members of the local community.
 
Further information regarding the next course of action for ticket holders, exhibitors, speakers and sponsors will be communicated as soon as possible and we thank you in advance for your patience as we deal with what is an unprecedented situation.

General FAQ's

The National 4x4 Outdoors Show, Fishing & Boating Expo has been postponed and will not proceed on the scheduled dates 27- 29th March, 2020 at the Brisbane Showgrounds.

We will release rescheduled dates shortly.

 

Brisbane Showgrounds

The Brisbane Showgrounds is now home to Brisbane's newest convention centre which has fast gained a reputation for offering a personalised, boutique event experience. Located on the fringe of the Brisbane CBD, the Brisbane Showgrounds offer versatility, flexibility and support from our team of dedicated and experienced professionals

 

Train

We are pleased to announce the return of the free show train available right across the Queensland Rail City Network. 

Trains are doing loop to Brisbane Showgrounds, Fortitude Valley, Roma Street and Central to Brisbane Showgrounds from – 8:30am – 6:30pm across all three days.

All you need do is pre-purchase your National 4x4 Outdoors Show event tickets online BEFORE you leave the house and show it to train inspectors at the stations. It doesn’t matter what line or direction, it’s all FREE. Leave your car at home and enjoy the day without traffic hassles. Plus, pre-purchasing your tickets will ensure you beat the onsite queues. It’s a win-win!

Brisbane Showgrounds Parking

Parking within the Brisbane Showgrounds is limited so it is important to plan your trip well ahead of time.  There are a total of 1500 car parks located onsite at the Brisbane Showgrounds or in the adjacent King Street.

IMPORTANT: For up-to-date vacancies and traffic control, please take note of the information published on the large variable message screens located around the perimeter of the venue.  Entrances to each car park will be marked.

Disabled Parking: The RNA will provide disabled parking sections in each car park area with signage, the disabled parking areas will be as close as possible to the entrance of the show.

 The RNA will provide generic parking signage at the entrance to each car park.

Payment

RNA on site car parks will all be pay on exit charged at $15 per day. The Pavilion car park operates with a number plate recognition system, please pay at machines before returning to your car. 
$25 per day for buses/trucks or vehicles with a trailer (use Sideshow Alley)

The National 4x4 Outdoors Show, Fishing & Boating Expo is looking for volunteers to help across our three day Brisbane Expo. 

In return for your time & effort, we would like to offer all volunteers:
• A great opportunity to gain some hands on experience at a major event with approximately 30000 attendees.
• Complimentary tickets to the show (2 adult day passes) (Provided at the end of your first day and not available if you only volunteer on Sunday.)
• Lunch provided daily (Full days only)
• A reference to put on your resume (please request post event)
• A certificate of appreciation (to receive post event)
• The opportunity to meet decision-makers and potentially network with over 200 businesses in a range of different industries

Volunteer Role Opportunities

Volunteers will be rotated through multiple roles for the course of the event. These roles include:
• Ticketing – ticket scanning, ticket collecting
• Distributing show guides – filling up show guide racks
• Runners for organisers – various operational tasks
• Ushers – guiding VIP’s and special guests to the stage
• General Enquiries

This gives you a great insight into how we work, while getting you valuable experience to put on your resume in a fun, safe environment.

Firstly, please check your junk email box as the email may have been sent there.

If it is not there please contact our ticketing company, LUP on 1300 884 226 or email tickets@lup.com.au and they can send you through another copy.

You can re-enter the Show during the same day. Just make sure you receive a pass-out stamp upon exiting.

The venue is accessible by wheelchair, but sadly the venue does not allow you to hire these. There are designated car parking spaces located on the ground level of each car park.

The Show will feature numerous food outlets around the venue, however you are more than welcome to bring your own sandwiches, snacks and refillable water bottle for our numerous water stations.
