NEW SPECIAL GUESTS JOIN SHOW REGULARS AT 2019 NATIONAL 4x4 OUTDOORS SHOW, FISHING & BOATING EXPO
A host of new special guests will join Australia’s premier line-up of 4x4 experts, fisherman and outdoor cooking specialists at this year’s National 4x4 Outdoors Show, Fishing & Boating Expo, 5 – 7 April 2019 at the Brisbane Showgrounds.
“Our show might be the biggest and best in Queensland annually but we want to keep it fresh, which is why I am delighted to announce additional special guests for this year,” Event Director, Paul Mathers said.
“In addition we have worked hard to make the show more accessible and more comfortable for visitors than ever before, with new comforts including air-conditioning throughout the buildings, an additional entry point off the oval, and more parking than ever before.
The ever-popular Waeco CFX Stage will be relocated this year to the Upper Exhibition Building, where eccentric Australian wildlife adventurer and You Tube sensation Andrew Ucles will appear for the first time.
With an insatiable curiosity for learning about wild animals, Ucles will share some of his experiences and expertise in the entertaining style that has made him a regular on adventure programs globally.
Ucles will join show regulars including Mr 4x4 Pat Callinan, TV presenter and off-road guru, Jase Andrews from All 4 Adventure and his presenting partner Simon Anderson, a battle-hardened adventurer on land and water.
A hit at the 2018 show, Alicia Blythe returns to share her off-road experiences and practical advice, sharing the stage with Jamie Hazelden who returns as a key member of the Offroad Adventure Show team.
Shaun Whale and Graham Cahill will be back too, retelling their sometimes colourful exploits and taking show visitors behind the scenes of the production of their hugely successful 4WD Action DVDs.
Another newcomer to the Waeco CFX stage this year will be Barney Lewis from Legendex, who will share his learnings from the development of specialist exhaust systems for off-road vehicles.
Over on the Catch & Cook Stage, the line-up of ever-popular show regulars has also been bolstered by newcomers.
‘Spida’ Everitt will be back with his ‘Stove on the Road’ show where, together with wife Sheree, they will demonstrate a plateful of quick, easy and tasty recipes that are easy to whip up on the road.
Paul Burt is another show regular returning to entertain with fishing and boating exploits, and he’ll be joined on the Catch & Cook Stage line-up this year by journalist, TV identity and public speaker David Hodge, the Barefoot Fisherman.
David will demonstrate casting skills and impart sage advice, and answer any questions show visitors might have on everything to do with fishing.
Bush Cook and educator Ranger Nick, often referred to as the ‘guru’ of camp oven cooking, will showcase his bush cooking skills and impart his extensive knowledge to show goers. And have a few laughs along the way.
Finally, Creek to Coast presenter Scott Hillier will share a lifetime of fishing experience and stories from his adventures on the road with the popular TV program.
The 2019 National 4x4 Outdoors Show Fishing & Boating Expo will be held at the Brisbane Showgrounds from 5 – 7 April.
